Summer Showers

We awoke this morning to thunder and rain. As you can see, we got almost 3 inches by the time all was over. (This was taken after lunch.) We are so thankful for the rain. At this time of year, you always think each rain is the last one until the hurricanes start in August.

In case you don't know, I live in TX also- not happy with all this rain! It needs to go away for a little while!

In our city, depending on where you look, average annual rainfall is between 17-25 inches. This usually comes 3-4 times a year. A rain is a big deal here. What happens a lot is a hurricane comes through in mid-August, and wipes out the cotton crops, which is a very bad thing. But mostly, rain is cherished here:)

It's still raining here in North Texas too and is expected for most of this upcoming week!
